രണ്ടോ അതിലധികമോ ഫൈബർ ഒപ്റ്റിക്സ് കേബിളുകൾ ഒരുമിച്ച് ചേരുന്ന പ്രക്രിയയാണ് ഒപ്റ്റിക് ഫൈബർ സ്പ്ലിംഗ്.

Wifi Choupal പ്രോജക്ടിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി FTTH കണക്ഷനുകൾ നൽകാനുള്ള പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ പുരോഗതിയിലാണ്. സേവനം വ്യാപിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി ധാരാളം തൊഴിൽ അവസരങ്ങൾ പ്രാദേശിക തലങ്ങളിൽ VLE മാരീലൂടെ സൃഷ്ടിക്കപെടുകയാണ്. നിലവിൽ 100 ഓളം ആളുകൾ നേരിട്ടും അല്ലാതെയും CSC യിലൂടെ ജോലി നേടിക്കഴിഞ്ഞു.

ഓരോ പഞ്ചായത്ത്‌ ഏരിയയിലും കുറഞ്ഞത് 5 പേർക്കെങ്കിലും നേരിട്ടോ അല്ലാതെ ജോലി നൽകാൻ സാധിക്കും. അതിനായി ഈ മേഖലയിൽ പ്രഗത്ഭ്യം ഉള്ളവരെ കണ്ടെത്തുന്നതിനും പരിശീലിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനും CSC യും Telecom Sector Skill Counsil ഉം ചേർന്ന് Optical Fiber Splicer കോഴ്സ് ഡിസൈൻ ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.

OFS Training Program (Course Duration: 28 hours)

Self-Study through Digital content – 3 hours per day for 8 days – 24 hours 

4 Virtual Classroom sessions of 1 hour each by Trainer

Practice Assessments after every module and two complete Practice Assessment at the end of the Training Program 

On completion of the OFS Training Program, a Third Party Assessment would be conducted by an Assessment Body designated by TSSC

Certification:

All successful participants will be certified by TSSC
